Connect BIOPAC physiological and SMI Eye Tracking data to study the interplay of gaze behavior and physiological response.

SMI remote integration with BIOPAC

SMI remote integration with BIOPAC

The SMI remote integration with BIOPAC combines SMI’s remote eye tracking hardware, the analysis software BeGaze as well as BIOPAC’s physiological data analysis software AcqKnowledge. Synchronized eye tracking and physiological data streams can be analyzed comprehensively with supporting visualizations. Based on eye tracking and physiological data, interest periods can be defined and selectively evaluated. Application-tailored signals are utilized by the integration to accurately synchronize the data streams via TTL trigger and UDP software messages.

The plug and play integration of BIOPAC and SMI measurement solutions reveals how visual information evokes physiological reactions. The integrative approach allows researchers to easily access complete participant response data for their analysis.

SMI mobile integration with BIOPAC

SMI mobile integration with BIOPAC

The SMI mobile integration with BIOPAC combines the data output of SMI Eye Tracking Glasses 2 (ETG2) and of BIOPAC’s physiological data loggers in the AcqKnowledge analysis software. Synchronized direct gaze videos, raw eye tracking data exported from SMI BeGaze software and physiological data streams can be analyzed with supporting visualizations. Real-time clocks are utilized to accurately synchronize the data streams through the video of the ETG scene camera.
Prof. Thierry Baccino

Being able to combine SMI Eye Tracking Glasses and Biopac physiological data measurements provides access to complete subject response data. In my research we recorded pupil diameter and electrodermal activity during a simulated driving task, and the study shows that pupil diameter signal has good discriminating power for stress detection.
