Release Experiment Suite 2.5

Highlights

Focus on sound - audio channel,
e.g. for linguistic studies

Now the combination of presenting visual stimuli with independent audio channel is easier to set up and more effective to analyze. Use verbal instructions in experiments with small children or study how user behavior is influenced by additional sound stimuli.

The new option to integrate audio stimuli in Experiment Center can also be used to conduct language comprehension studies by combining audio and visual stimuli.  For example, you hear pronouns like “he” which can refer to several persons on stimuli pictures shown. Based on observations supported by eyetracking data the researcher can conclude how subjects interpret these linguistic ambiguities.

Experiment Center let`s you select different audio files (wav, mp3, wma) which are played back in parallel to the presented visual stimuli. When you choose the "audio recording" option audio playback can be added to your analysis in BeGaze 2.

"I have been working with audio in Experiment Center 2 and it works very well. I am happy that it is possible to play audio because it is crucial to my experiment that the auditory and visual stimuli are aligned perfectly." Website Tilburg University
